MorFi® makes fiber analyses quick and easy. In a few minutes, it can provide an amazingly comprehensive set of measurements on hardwood or softwood fibers, or both together in a mixture. It also provides Absolute Coarseness and True Length Weighted Histograms.

A description of output measurements from our user-friendly, six-part standard report is described below:

1. A summary block, consisting of:
   • Mean values for fiber length, both count and length weighted
   • The mean width of fibers
   • The raw coarseness of fibers, in mg/meter (if specified)
   • The mean kink angle
   • The mean curl in percent
   • The length percent of micro fibrils attached to fibers
   • The percent of fibers that have broken ends, vs. sharp points
   • The length percent of fines, or debris less than 200 um in length
   • The area percent of fines, defined above
2. A ten-class, length weighted fiber length histogram, with a custom progressive scale for easy readability, and actual percentages listed for each class
3. A ten-class width histogram, based on count, and percentages in each class
4. A kink angle histogram
5. A fiber curl histogram
6. A bivariate scatter plot that shows length vs width vs count, all color coded.
